A Website Rebirth

From Frustration to Innovation:

A brand new website, literally

Enter the realm of transformation as we unveil the journey of rebranding and redesigning a website for a company specializing in military unmanned aerial systems. We delved into customer needs, addressed issues, defined personas and requirements, and restructured content. Collaborating with external teams, we aimed to create a new digital experience in line with the company's new identity and values.

The project was done as part of my work at UXpert

THE TALE BEGINS

………………………………………………………….

The problems

1

Visitors left without finding what they need

An outdated and cluttered website that led to a frustrating user experience.

2

Credibility at stake

Poor website organization could potentially damage the company's trustworthiness, leaving visitors with doubts about its professionalism and reliability.

The Quest The Hypothesis

By creating an organized and user-friendly digital platform that aligns with the company's new identity and values, we anticipate improving user satisfaction, engagement, credibility, search engine rankings, and overall business performance.

Journey of discovery

………………………………………………………….

Know your audience

  • Stakeholders meetings

  • Branding workshops

  • Professional interviews

  • Company tour

  • Industry terminology

First thing’s first: Architecture hierarchy

We studied the existing site, undertook content auditing, and organized information. This journey led us to craft a structured architectural information map.

………………………………………………………….

………………………………………………………….

what do people want to do here?

Our exploration revealed two fundamental assumptions:

  1. The target audience consisted of military and police personnel with well-defined terminology.

  2. Visitors typically arrived at the website following specific encounters, such as conferences or meetings. They sought tailored information and experiences.

After defining these aspects, we sought to understand the diverse needs of military personnel, to tailor the solution:

The explorer (by environment)

Interested in exploring various solutions within the warfare environment or drone family.

The know-it-all (by page)

Arrived with a specific purpose, seeking precise information on systems, about the company, or a way to connect.

The Potential Employee (career)

Primarily interested in learning about the company's nature and work-life.

The enchanted outcome

We created ………………………………………………………….

The marine explorer

We crafted a website where information is easily accessible and customizable, catering to standard navigation or specific operational needs. This transformation ensures a seamless experience for users like the Marine Explorer, who seeks information about naval solutions.

The Design

The UI design phase was seamlessly entrusted to the expertise of OPEN.

Happily ever after

Following the launch of the new website, we began receiving overwhelmingly positive responses. Customers expressed great enthusiasm, marking the beginning of a promising chapter in our journey.
